We begin June with our first gig in Carlisle in the Brickyard, its also our first trip over the border in whats seems like ages so turn out in hordes please…

More locally we are playing Bar Bloc acoustically on June 7th. Just Iain, Craig and an acoustic guitar.A rare opportunity to see us that stripped down and also a chance to hear all three tracks from our new EP before its release its august.

Regarding the EP we have decided that it will be released digitally and with a small batch of CDs, a bit 90s we know….

‘In Fiction’ will be unveiled in August at a very special launch night(details soon).
We have also began booking in sessions for the recording of our debut album at the end of the year.EXCITING.

I leave you all with the news that we will also be supporting Joan of Arc and Hot Club De Paris in Glasgow this month.June 26th in Nice N Sleazys.

A short update on goings on, we will be releasing our 5 track Vinyl in the last weekend of July as we are finishing Vocals with Iain Cook in Alucard Studios this month.

The record will be accompanied by our first worldwide you tube smash with guest vocals from Rebecca Black.Shes a huge fan I hear.

In the more immediate and non fictional future we will be playing acoustically at Bar Bloc as part of Slow Club on My 26th and we also will be playing a short set at the Captains Rest on May 15th.Our very first show in Carlisle will also be happening on June 3rd!

Chem 19 was a lot of fun! Springsteen, dancing to Tina Turner, crap scrabble games, suggestive waitresses in greasy spoons, sleepless nights, Super Nintendo Fifa….it was all happening but I think the main memory that will stick in our heads is the one of Jamie Savage still recording backing vocals with Andrew at 3 am….rough times.On his birthday! what a guy!

The tracks now go off for mixing/mastering with Iain Cook and we are aiming for an early summer release for the Vinyl.

The single ‘Sleep Alone Tonight’ will be accompanied by our very first music video. We realise that we cannot possibly compete with Rebecca Blacks shenanigans but we are going to try….the single will be released digitally around May/June time.

April holds much excitement for us as we get to support the awesome Dinosaur Pile Up In King Tuts on April 12th as well a show in Edinburgh with The Barents Sea on the 26th in Sneaky Petes.

Finally I just want to say a big thank you to everyone at Strathclyde Union and fusion radio for the gig/interview we did last night it was a lot of fun especially getting to play some sneaky Cure and National tracks…

We hope you all had a lovely night at the Stereo show this month and as promised here are our merry plans for February.We are supporting BSM records Hold Your Horse Is in the 13th Note in Glasgow on February 6th in what will be our first appearence in the bowery of the note in two years.Catch this sweaty performance while you can…..

We will also be making some random appearences in Dumfries,Edinburgh and Inverness for ther first time since the ‘Deficit’ Tour last year!

Finally we will be hitting CHEM 19 studios in Blantyre in March to record three very special tracks for an exclusive 7″ and download(more details on that soon).
Many incredible Scottish bands namely Mogwai,Aereogramme and The Twilight Sad have graced Chemikal Undergrounds lair and we are very excited to hear the results when we hit the studio in a few months.

More news soon on acoustic appearences and new artwork, we just cant wait for you to hear our new sound and direction…stay tuned!

Its great to be a five piece again and get back on our feet.Andrew is also slowly getting used to the various levels of horrible banter that is thrown around in our little operation.God help him.

In other news we have been busy, yeah really.Demoing with Richard Wardrop on the tracks ‘Black Room’, ‘House In The Clouds’ and ‘Take Flight’ one of which will feature on the dying carcus of my space in the next seven days.Free music vultures at the ready.

We also did a few songs acoustic for strathclyde uni radio last week during which time we found this sticker………

We have been locked away since our May tour and Pulled Apart By Horses support,   sealed  underground to resurface next month with a fresh batch of  tunes.Early titles include ‘House In The Clouds’, ‘Take Flight’, ‘The Black Room’.
We are soon to become five again and regroup with a new label.Details soon.
