The Whisky Works

At The Whisky Works, we believe in pioneering new practices and investigating new taste experiences, but we’ll always have respect for the traditions and history of Scotch.

We want to share our love of interesting whisky – old or new – single malt, grain, or blend – through small-batch bottlings accessible to anyone curious about the best drinks.

We are a boutique blending and bottling house, run as an independent arm of one of Scotland’s oldest whisky firms, founded in 1844.

Our Whiskies

With decades of specialist whisky-making expertise at our core, we have devised a collection to demonstrate our passion and skill in selecting and bottling the best whiskies.

Our Classic Whiskies are aged, rare whiskies, some of which you may never have the chance to taste again while our Modern Experiments employ uncommon methods of maturation to create truly unique, characterful whiskies. Carefully selected by our whisky-maker Gregg Glass, all our whiskies are genuinely small-batch with less than 2,500 individually-numbered bottles available in each release.

Meet our Whisky-Maker

Beginning his whisky career as fresh-faced tour guide at distilleries across the Scottish Highlands, Gregg Glass spent years studying brewing, distilling, and the unique flavours created by different casks. He worked across many different roles before specialising in whisky-making.

A hands-on whisky-maker, he is already known for innovation and an obsession with quality. Gregg’s whisky-making philosophy has developed over decades – working alongside other whisky-makers, distillers, and spirits specialists from across the world. He takes inspiration from centuries of distilling and maturation tradition, as well as embracing innovation to develop unique new practices.
